======Thanks Jude, and yes, that was Bill who lost his big toe in August. It is entirely possible that he’d have lost it even without the T2. He learned yesterday during a follow-up session with the surgeons that he had a “super” bug — with the T2, he was doomed from the onset I suppose. Without T2, he still might have lost it. He is doing very well now. He’s still recovering from the amputation, but up and doing just about everything he wants except walking for exercise. I’m very behind in my own work and so he’s taken over a lot of the cooking. The surgeon said it would be late November before he’d back to normal. He works very hard to keep his bs down — I am so proud of him.
I hope you’re right — I hope my post was encouraging because it was a frightening diagnosis and if I can help someone new to this feel more hopeful, I’d be glad for that.
He almost never has a high bs now.
